Vanessa, Dad and I.
We’re going to see Vanessa’s exhibit which I mentioned in the Kudos For Crudos post.

eirelaV features the contrasting ideologies of elegance and dilapidation as its subjects. ~ TAP 2013

The photograph’s surrealistic presentation of said subjects softens the starkness of the contrast, thereby sending the Romanticised message that the cohabitation of such extremes is not only possible, but may also be awe-inspiringly beautiful. ~ TAP 2013

Vanessa’s mentor;
Kevin Christopher Ou (born March 4, 1979) is an American photographer who was born in Singapore.
His photographs have been published in Rolling Stone, Nylon, Elle, DUB, People, Surface,Vogue, Entertainment Weekly, Lego, BMW and General Motors.
Since then he has photographed Nick Cannon, Ludacris, Mariah Carey, P Diddy, Elijah Wood and 50 Cent.
Ou was named one of the top 10 most influential U.S. photographers in 2009.

When my girls were very young, Dad used to come over and bond with his grandchildren over art sessions. He told me that Vanessa has artistic streak. Standing now in front of her work with a programme booklet in hand, I hope he is proud of her just as I am. See V Day! for more info.

Vanessa Caitlin Jayne developed her passion in photography while pursuing Broadcast Journalism and Film at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Her projects in Melbourne range from Fashion Photography and Writing to Short Films and Documentaries. Her Docu-Film Anywhere But Here (2012) was one of the winners in RMIT’s Best of Media 2012 award and was featured at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI). She is currently the in-house photographer for Billionaire.com, a luxury online magazine. ~ TAP 2013

The blue stickers the men wore say “I Am Made For SAM”.
SAM is acronym for Singapore Art Museum.
But I like to think she’s made for me 😉

P.S. I did not forget, what we ate after the exhibition is on my next post 😉

Thank you Janet! My browser or internet is acting weird lately. Having difficutly uploading pictures. Reader (where I check on new post by those I follow) and comments are sometimes not notified. If I’d missed some be patient 🙂
I am so not worried, Sam. I’m all for people living their lives. You know, I don’t get all the notifications either. Hmmmm….Maybe it’s not a connection, but something about how WordPress works, may be?
