Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat!

The “Hen Party” was over and it was our turn to throw a party. We had an impromptu BBQ last night (28th Sp 2014) for the soon-to-be bride and groom, Valerie & Ryan’s best men and bride’s maids as a motivational and an advance thank you meal for their help in my daughter’s impending wedding.

Valerie's friends threw a an awesome Hen Party a fe weeks ago.

Valerie’s friends threw an awesome Hen Party for her a few weeks ago.

Did some last minute shopping for meats (beef, chicken, lamb, pork wrapped in bacon and sausages) on the very day!

These weren’t top grade wagyu like the ones we had the last BBQ but nonetheless, they were tender and flavoursome.

The children have already started to eat by the time I went down to join them but Valerie was…

Valerie was kind enough to get off her chair and start bbq-ing for me 😀

I can’t eat so many steaks! Help me here 😉

The best tasting meat weren’t shown here.
The best tasting meat was actually the chicken chops.
The chicken wings were great, too!
I guess it was the marinade that made them vocalised.

Something’s burning? Hail fire!
But there’s no need for the fire fighters.
We’d lifted them off the furious flames in a jiffy!

My plate with a side salad.
There was tuna dip and potato mash, too, but a pescetarian friend ate most of it.
Just kidding Joce! We’re sorry we forgot about your diet 😦

There were several sauces but the best loved was Sriracha.
Surprisingly, Sriracha was available easily in Melbourne but not in Singapore.
We’d looked for months and finally found a culinary school that sells it.

The side salad I had was Chicken Caesar Salad.
See the hand?
Did she wash? Whose was it???

It was mine!
Er… I don’t remember washing my hands though 😉

We had a fun time, all of us!
It’s been a while since I last caught up with Kieron.

There were a few more good friends who had dined with us. All were briefed on their designation and assignment for the approaching big day! We are indeed lucky and blessed with so many who cares.

I guess it’ll be after October that I can finally eat, sleep, rave and repeat!

Have an exciting and blessed start of the week, folks!

Happy eating and bonding 🙂
