The finger sandwiches were a keeper! Thin Tomato and Cucumber slices, Chunky Crabmeat, Hard-boiled Eggs with mayonnaise and Smoked Salmon with Cream Cheese and Dill.
The meat has to be marinated in advance at least 4 hours ahead, preferably overnight.

Lana used Tanh Hoon instead of Kway Teow as a special treat for me. Using her own homemade Pad Thai Sauce recipe, cooked with chopped sweet radish and served with banana flowers and scallions, the authentic way to eat Pad Thai.

The mutton was very tender. I did not have to struggle when chewing and swallowing the meat.
Plain porridge with boiled peanuts are normally eaten with plain fried economic beehoon but I couldn’t find any that day so I settled for Chicken Congee with Alkaline Squid and Century Egg instead.

Pork Ribs (Pai Kuat Wong) – crisp outside and tender inside. The sauce had just the right amount of sour and sweet taste.

According to TCM, the nutritional value of Abalone (Dried Abalone is prized): 1. rich in protein: there are many nutrients such as calcium, iron, iodine and vitamin A; 2. its nutritional value is extremely high and rich in globulin; abalone is believed to contain ingredients such as essential metabolites which can destroy cancer cells; 3. abalone is yin-nourishing, calming liver and solid renal, adrenal gland secretion can be adjusted, have the effect of bi-directional regulation of blood pressure; 4. it has the effect of regulating menstruation, treating menstruation disorders, moisturizing internal dryness as well as constipation.
The skin of the chicken is yellow because the chicken was boiled in tumeric water.
